Huh!

I heard one of my acquaintances joking a few days back – “The costliest thing Manmohan singh has is Gulshan Kaur!
While the NDA was busy in mudslinging him and his party, the poor man kept his calm.
He could not even do the “Thumbs up” act properly when his thumb came back from halfway. The parliament was worth watching. The IPL, India-Pakistan match, cheerleaders, nothing could have beaten it.
‘Democracy’ we call it! Rahul Gandhi calls it our true power…that everybody can speak here. I hope he was just being sarcastic!(His speech was a breeze, though interrupted)
I remained glued to the television yesterday to witness the high drama, excitement, thrill and yes not to mention the versatile villains and vampires. The speaker, like a class teacher, used all sorts of verbal weapons. But the other side was immune. He called it shameless, expressed agony and used all sort of pejorative remarks in his own acerbic style. But the house saw no decorum and no respect at all! They were wild!
Any Indian who saw the political drama yesterday would have been seething with anger. If they are who represent us, we are doomed .And if people do research on how we have survived 60 years of democracy, there is nothing surprising. We are actually doing wonders!

P.S: Lalu should log on to monster.com. He is caught in the wrong job and should rather go in the laughter challenge.

So I understand you watched the LOK SABHA proceedings with full commitment.Did you watch it for the first time?I saw it in 1999 and 1998 also but did not watch it this time, fully for want of time. One thing is sure,do not go by what the politicians say and do in the Parliament. It is just a drama which is enacted. The hidden agenda are many.BJP not wanting to go to polls as they are not ready at the moment, BJP and Congress joining hands to ensure Maya does not get a chance to become PM etc etc. The bigger theory is that Left moved out of the govt after 4.5years coz, Congress being their main opponent all the past 50 years,How can they go to masses and fight in elections. It was a marriage which went on till a suitable time. The divorce had to happen.Net Net, behind the doors you never know what is going on,but in Parliament,it is a tamasha which they have to enact, and who said we do not like watching it?Not at least the TRPs. Look at the positives, for older generation it is a good time pass and for younger lot they can see how good a person can deliver a speech.Democracy is here to stay and it is flourishing and it will flourish.

Yeah..True..there certainly are many hidden agendas...but whatsoever isn't the tamasha itself dissapointing?? I mean whatevr be their agendas behind the scenes but afterall everybody watches what happens in the parliament!! It is kind of shameful...Anyways its nice to hear "Democracy is here to stay and it is flourishing and it will flourish."

Yes It is a shameful, but on 2nd thoughts, think of it that the politician becomes Actors for 2 days and you watch a two day long movie or a short 5 day match:-).and as I said you get to hear great orators like Omar Abdullah and Sachin Pilot.

PM Manmohan Singh is known as the Architect of India's Original Economic Reform Programme, its bcoz of his'DUR DRASHTI'& Efforts as a Finance Minister which raised INDIA Economically a Strong Country

Abt Our POLITICIANS: Its very disheartning that they assembled for a Trust vote at a time when the Government had to tackle issues of Inflation and Increacing Terrorist activities.
& you talk abt SHAMELESS....vo kya cheez hoti hai?
The Central Characters of the MULTI-STARER MOVIE was MAFIA's & Criminals like PAPPU YADAV, SHAHBUDDIN[well known Indian ISI Agent :-( ],Ansari & Shibu Soren..........aur in sabse ye expectation rakhnaa ki ye SANSAD mein TEHZEEB se paish aayenge.....No way!!
